Absolutely not. I will vote in my party's primaries, then I will vote for the candidate I feel is best suited to serve.
Vote for Rudy!

I did in 1996 by my vote, but I changed my official political party affiliation in 1998 by becoming a registered Democrat when I began to feel that the Republican Party had begun abusing the power they had amassed and were dictated to by special interest groups. I've only voted the straight ticket in one election, though. Now that the balance of power has shifted to the Democratic Party, I will be watching them for signs of the same sorts of abuse that the GOP subjected the legislative process to, and waiting for new party leadership on the right. I'm going to guess (and hope) the party's new leadership will begin to emerge in the next four years, but I doubt I will vote the straight ticket again for quite some time either way. It is possible-in my mind anyway-that given all the mess(es) in Washington, D.C. a third party candidate might actually have a chance if the GOP doesn't get itself together and the current administration's ideas are not successful.

I changed my affiliation from Democrat to Republican last week, so I could vote for Ron Paul. I have switched my affiliation several times, depending on who I want to vote for in the primaries.

No, I'm a republican in the past for 2ND Amendment issues alone (as it is the most I'mportant issue to me).
However I am upset that we didn't go in and whoop ***, and leave Iraq (im all about setting a mission, accomplishing it, and leaving, and not pretending soldiers are police) So this time around, im staying away from the neocons, and voting for the only true conservative (who happens to want out of Iraq) Ron Paul.
*to the post below me, I DO care about the 4th amendment. However I think if you remove the 2nd amendment, there is no protection for you to personally grantee the 4th will remain. I see the 2ND as the 1 amendment allowing the 80 Million Armed Americans to keep the rest of the constitution alive. This is why I so strongly oppose Rudy.

I don't ever vote a straight party line, and I have no intention of ever doing so.
I vote for the person, not the party. In the 2004 election, I voted for a democrat for House and a republican for Senate because they were the best people for the positions.

I have always voted Democrat so has my family. I will vote in the Democratic primary and depending on who wins I may be forced to vote republican in the general. For me health care is very important and that will be my primary issues to vote around this election

for this election, no. i plan on voting for McCain. I agree with everything this man stands for.
i have always voted republican across the board, except once. I voted for Kinky (lib) in the last governor's election (Texas). I was hoping that if kinky didn't win that bell (Dem) would. that is the first time i have ever hoped for a Dem.... the others who ran were awful -including the repub candidate.

I will be regestering independent and remaining that way.
I need to voice my disapproval of the partisan politics that are destroying our country, and while it is unlikely that the major parties will notice my departure, I am setting an example, and I hope that others will do the same.

I'm slowly becoming a Democrat (or maybe anti-Republican) on 4th Amendment issues alone. (I've voted for 4 different parties for President in the past)
Why is it that Republicans don't care about THIS Amendment? (Is it that they think two 2nd Amendments = one 4th Amendment?)
Edit: We don't register with a Party in TN.
