I just saw a stat yesterday that the SEC schools have the lowest academic standards of all the Div 1 A schools , hey but who cares we can play some football right .

ya the sec is one of the top conferences in D1A. Other divisions have two or three good teams, and the rest are filled with scrubs. ACC VA tech, and every 3-4 years miami, and fsu.... with GA tech, wake forest, NC, and duke at the bottom. Big 10 Michigan, OSU with minnesota, wisconson, Iowa, michigan state and Illinois(i think illinois had a fluke season and will be close to the bottom next year.) Big 12 Oklahoma, Texas. Kansas and Mssouri had good seasons this year, but have not consistently been it the top 15. At the bottom u got Iowa State, and baylor. In the pac 10 is USC. The rest of the schools are mediocre. except for stanford who is always at the bottom. but ya SEC is the strongest conference in D1... Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, and Alabama are usually floating in the top 25.... And as much as i am biased against every team but the Gators, and cant say i am goin for LSU, i would rather see them win than OSU.

I've also heard of that before...and I'm sorry that you don't care, but I think it's sad.
When academic standards are that low, it only means one thing: the school wants to use the kids for what they can do and could care less about providing them with an education. It matters not that they can barely read and write.
Just listen to the players when they are being interviewed and compare them to an athlete from USC, OSU or Missouri. You can tell the difference.
I think coaches all over the country should make sure that their players are stars on the field as well as in the classroom.

That's hilarious, but kind of sad. I just hope every football player coming out of the SEC doesn't think he'll make the NFL or a broadcasting pannel.
