I think divorce is really just seen as the easy way out. All you have to do is file the paperwork and a judge signs off on it and there you go, a free person yet again. Nowadays I think that too many young people are getting married too quickly and once they realize that the vows they took weren’t as easy to stand by as they thought, they turn around and request for a divorce. I got married at 22 yrs old which some might see as young. I’m happy in my marriage but it’s not always easy. I’ve contemplated divorce before and then realized that it was just a copout. So instead, I seeked information about couples counseling. I opened up a little more to my husband and explained some things and we both realized that we are happy with one another, we do love one another, but that marriage takes work. And we weren’t going to give up on us that easily. And it’s helped a great deal….

No relationship is perfect. No marriage is perfect. I thinking having fights here and there is normal and healthy in a marriage. But I think communication is key! Marriage is just another test in life and it’s a never-ending test. I often look at my grandparents who both passed and they were married for 51 yrs. I look up to them a great deal and loved and of course miss the love I saw between the two of them. I promised myself that I would always use them as an example of what life should be like. Of what love should be like.

I want my son to be able to grow up and see the love that my husband and I share. We do have our moments and our fights and if my son ever sees that as he grows up that’s fine. At least he sees that there’s always a way to work through things when you love someone. And he’ll see the love we have for him and the love we have for one another….

Well the answer to that is all of the above. People simply get tired or bored of their spouse. Maybe there's something else ... but who knows.

I'd say its better than living in misery with someone you can't tolerate being with.

Did you know that studies show that people are getting married late into their 20's?

Because people marry not out of commitment to each other, but strictly in giving in to emotions they think is love. Some do it strictly for the lust.

It's easy to quit. Marriage shouldn't be work. You shouldn't have to work at it or go to counseling sessions. If it's not easy to be with a person, you may as well leave.

its really cause people are more selfish and self-centered, less and less people are bothering with attempting to fix problems and more people are causing problems that really wouldn't have have happened with some self control.
