As in anyone who doesn't agree with homosexuality is a homophobe, anyone who doesn't agree with liberal's opinions is afraid of free speech, anyone who is offended by the atheist holiday tree is intimidated by it. I can't count the number of posts where conservatives are accused of being afraid of things when in reality they just happen to disagree with them.

Liberals have nothing to offer but fear itself! There is no valid rationale behind most of their agenda. Honest debate with informed opposition leaves lasting scars on the liberal psyche.

There are four main weapons in the liberal debate arsenal. The first is to site fear as the only reason for disagreement and dismiss you out of hand. This allows that smug, I'm better than you so I win attitude we all love so much.

The second is to yell louder and more incessantly to drown out opposing arguments, feeding the liberal fallacy that louder and more insistent makes them right. This creates that smug, aggressive "I'm more open-minded than you" attitude we're mostly familiar with.

The third is to write a book or make a movie to promote their mythical fear and scare the daylights out of as many sheeple as possible, thinking numbers will prove them right. This leads to that smug, "everybody agrees with us except you" mentality we see around global warming and socialized medicine debates.

The fourth is to distract with irrelevent information or change the subject altogether and then attack you with ridiculus accusations. This gives us the famous (and smug) "if you oppose going green you are for destroying the planet" or "If you want to drill in Anwar you're against the little animals" scheme.

All of these tools are designed to stifle honest debate and dominate the discussion. This leads to higher taxes, greater government regulation and interference, more poverty and greater dependence on liberal politicians.

Really sick of posts that are just a party raly or bash. No content what so ever. Fear of the truth and a good debate perhaps? Fear of doing some hard research not just mouth off? Disagree via a rant? AS a Republican my ideas no longer count but my party affiliation is the issue. How can you begin with an insult and then expect a good exchange of ideas anyway?

Gimme a break. Overused is the slanderous comments. Yes. Many of us do not fear we find disgust is the continuation of such practices. Thank you.

I will never understand why you people are so afraid of everything. You come across like Macho Religious Warmongers, but it's all fear-based. Only scared people react in the way the Cons do.

Why do you people get yourselves so worked up over other people's sexual appetites? It's just none of your damn business - yet you're constantly putting your nose in it.
Could it be because you're afraid?

Why are you so obsessed with this so-called "War on Christmas"? Do you know how many Liberals just don't give a crap whether you say Merry Christmas and have a Nativity Scene in your front yard? We just don't care, but you people have made this BIG issue out of a small group...very small group...that doesn't like it. Nobody's gonna take your word or your tree away.
Could it be because you're afraid?

As far as your rant about "free speech" - Hey, I'd fight to the death to retain YOUR right to free speech. Your problem is that when a Liberal disagrees with you, you become afraid.

Yes, you people have cornered the market on Fear.
...and if you disagree with me and get your panties in a bunch over it, I guess you're just afraid.

No one said agree with homosexuality -

Just stop saying or implying they are evil and lesser than others - and give them the rights and protections under law that you enjoy - Hm equal under the law - it is an idea that might catch on - Or we could all step back in time and take women rights away - no voting dear and what does your husband thing about you having this job ?

Nobody said agree with the athiest tree - any more than I must agree with the Xmas tree or the Star of David

It is - and if people want to worship the holy beer bottle I say let them - and calling it stupid as a self rightous Minister of god is hate mongering as much as it would be if I said anyone who worhips that dead jew jesus should have their mental health monitored in case they all form a cult and kill themselves as has happened in the past

Freedom of religon freedom of thought and wow equal under the law - I thought that was somehow fundemental to America or was that freedom to have my religion and my political ideology - Freedom of popular opinion so long as I decide what is popular

It seems to me it is you that uses fear - not the other way around

Get it ?

Probably not - your afraid of the compitition

And on the "right wing" side of fear

Terror terror terror 9/11 terror 9/11 Homeland security invasions war nuclear holocost world war 3

Terror terror war 9/11

Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.

When it comes to Conservatives, we have seen a continual lack of understanding. And a lack of understanding usually precedes a good display of fear.

"homosexuality" - When Cons stop using quack researcher Paul Cameron as an 'expert' on GLBT issues, then maybe we're getting somewhere. Also, like it or not, saying how giving GLBT people equal rights will cause the "downfall of society" does sound like fear.

"anyone who doesn't agree with liberal's opinions is afraid of free speech" - Is this like how Bush and cons accuse people who are against the Iraq War of hating freedom?

"anyone who is offended by the atheist holiday tree is intimidated by it" - Why do people have to be constantly remind "Merry Christmas", this is a holiday season you know, there are OTHER holidays this time of year. This isn't a Christian only country.

The Conservative Ideology is dominated by fear, fear of progress, fear of people who are different, fear of the unknown, the fear of change, the fear of government, the fear of social justice, and just fear in general.

Yes, they`re called conservatives who are xenophobic enough to allow huge and unnecessary military expenditures. Xenophobia means fear of the unknown.

Of course they overuse it.

Liberals are not able to inspire their constituency to be better or independent.. Name a single issue in which the Liberals induce you, the individual, to move towards your own freedom from government.

Since they can not inspire, the MUST use FEAR.

come down to my town, view a few of these people in action.. and tell me it's not fear or rage, rather than logic, that drives their mentalities? Now I'm not saying it's everyone.. and I've never posted a question about "fear" anyway... all I'm saying is there are a lot of people in rural America that make it very difficult NOT to generalize about this one.

...I agree. "Fear" keeps them in business -
...fear of Bush,
...fear of guns,
...fear of tax cuts,
...fear of Christians and our Christian heritage
...fear of achievement - enough to punish those with higher taxes, when they have "too much" - and what is too much - when you make more than I make (this is the party of change and/or paper money, whatever you have)
...fear of letting the common American fend for himself and make choices that he deems are in his best interest, instead of government running his life
...fear that America might win the war in Iraq
...fear of standing up for the Constitution and what the Founders intended
...fear of Americans enjoying the liberties our forefathers fought and died for
