He was the Vice President. The Kyoto agreement sign by his boss President Bill Clinton. The United States Senate did not ratified the treaty. The vote in the Senate was a huge majority against the treaty. Therefore, it is not his fault.

I disagreed with Albert Gore but I do not blame him for the failure of the Kyoto agreement.

This is another example of why Republicans have no business running anything but their mouths.

Why didn't Bush-League sign the treaty? HE is President, Al Gore might have been legally ELECTED President, but decided to abide by the Supreme Court's appointment of Bush-Lite.

If you truly believed in the Democratic process, Al Gore WOULD have been President and he WOULD have signed the Kyoto Accord, bringing America into the 21st Century.

Perhaps it was not the job of the Vice-President to do that.
Besides treaties must be approved by the Senate. As I recall we had a Republican controlled Senate at the time and they were dragging their feet and many were opposed to it.

As the Vice President of the United States of America, he didn't have the authority to do so on his own.

That's why.

Because he was the VICE president. The VP doesn't have the authority to sign any treaty.

Well, maybe if Gore actually became President (Instead of just having America vote for him just to have Bush steal it all away), then maybe he would have done just that.
