I'm a athiest. Well I just think it looks gross. Plus woman like that can be vulnerable from disgusting perverted men who would want to stare at her breasts. So for safty I think it should stick in bathrooms or in rooms with closed doors.

It is the most natural thing a mother should do. In the last 30 years or so people have grown up to view the human body in a depraved angle. All these matters only concerning the three letter word. No one should be offended at the the sight of a mother baby closeness. It is also the most beautiful thing for the baby. The more children are breast fed, a better healthier world it would be. I do not agree a certain religious people object to this. They have to re-examine their views. They may not be what they claim to be. Come on mothers feed them your milk and let let a generation of healthy people fill the earth.

wisma - The last 30 years? Pretty much since Ancient Rome, actually, when they started putting fig leaves over the private bits of statues. There's something SO wrong with how much of the world views the body. Everything has to do with sex... Ugh. Women should be allowed to breastfeed in public without being starred at. Christians have this thing about thinking women are the source of evil, don't they? So I suppose seeing a woman 'tempting' them with their breast would make a man uncomfortable and angry.
I'm just ranting by this point, sorry!

i'm interior the united kingdom and breatfeeding here is thoroughly prevalent. lots of eating places and cafes have indicators saying "you're welcome to breastfeed here" and that i've got fed my toddlers in all places - benches in a hectic severe highway, eating places, college gate, everywhere, each time. no person takes any word or cares. whilst used to feed a newborn, a breast isn't a sexual situation. There are far greater disapproving stares whilst a mom bottlefeeds her infant, because of the fact it shows she isn't a being concerned mom on condition that breast is a lot greater constructive for her infant's well-being. and that i'm guffawing at all the solutions saying "that's effective as long as she does it below a blanket." Blanket?!? I even have never used a blanket! I even have never considered everyone use a blanket whilst breastfeeding. you merely hitch up your ideal and plug the child in. Who needs to hold a blanket around with all of the different infant paraphernalia. i think of individuals nevertheless have slightly a puritan complicated, hence the reason this question pops up on R&S. As greater info i might cite the word "titbit". Over here, the place the word originated, that's "titbit". whilst it made it around the pond it have been given replaced to "tidbit" because of the fact it replaced into theory that American nerves and sensibilities could no longer handle a word containing "tit." Hilarious.

I was in Wendy's restaurant the other day and a couple was sitting in the table next to mine with a 3 month old baby. We spoke briefly and the mother started to breast feed her baby. No one really paid a attention to the matter and was not offended so I don't know the big deal. Are Americans wimps when it comes to seeing mothers breast feeding in public. If so, I hadn't noticed that fact.

American people have not been taught to see things like people in other countries. It seems like in this society people have forgot the real purpose of breasts. They seem to thing of them ONLY in sexual terms, not remembering that they were created for an actual purpose besides for men to pinch, squeeze & play with.I don't have a problem w/ a mother breastfeeding in public. What is more disgusting & unacceptable to me is the fact that men can take their shirts off in public if hot,but a woman can't.Nothing more disgusting than seeing a guy out in public showing off his gross man-boobs,yuk.Lots of double standards in this country & it sucks!!!

I don't see why it's a big deal. As long as she's not flaunting her breasts while she's feeding the baby, no one should care. Babies have to eat too.

Why can't women breastfeed their babies in privacy? I just don't want to see anyone, male or female, partially naked in public. I shouldn't have to.
