I don't think so--unless a person creates a myth out of the past. BUT, the way we FEEL about the past can and does affect our present lives! If we see ourselves as victims--then victims we will remain. But see ourselves as survivors, overcomers, and see life as an OPPORTUNITY, then we HAVE changed the effect that our past had created.

the past is full of happy and sad stories. I can't change the memories of the past but I use the insights they afford me for a better today.

It doesn't actually change your past, but there are instances in which you subconsciously alter your memories. You can actually make up something that happened in your past and you'll think it actually happened, when in all reality it didn't. The opposite happens too. You can force yourself to forget that something happened.

No, a person can't change their past and neither can a stranger rewrite history of another person without consequence.

why even go into your past; why not live for the future instead of the past tense, Satan is in your past God is not for God dose not no backwards only Satan that is why some get stuck in their past ;I never go to my past I just reminisce the good memories.and never think of the bad past tense because I don't allow it to torment me at any cost because I have had enough of it already.

nothing changes your past, but depending on how you percieve your past you could change your future.
