Absolutely...they should have taken that approach since Day 1.
You want more money for your occupation, alright, pass SCHIP and you'll get it.
Although everytime he vetoes a bill that is popular with the American people it's Republicans that get hurt so I get the politics of it...just wish it didn't have to be.

Congress is already doing that and has been doing that all along. That's why absolutely nothing gets done. They don't care if what he wants has merit or if the country or the soldiers need it, all they care about is doing everything they can to spite him because they never got over the fact that Al Gore didn't get the presidency. They cut off their nose to spite their face. That's why congress has an even lower approval rating than Bush, even bush-hating CNN covered that. Policy should be based on what the country needs, not on how much people hate Bush.

Last I checked, America was a democracy. That means that anything Bush wants to pass, it has to go through and get approval from Congress first. Not one person can create a law or pass a bill. We're not a communist country, it's a DEMOCRACY.

Actually in the last 7 agonizing years, Bush has had very little of anything passed by Congress of any significance, aside from the hysterical Patriot Act, and a few token gesture bills.
Bush is, keep in mind, a very weak President historically, and has really accomplished nothing in the way of beneficial, visionary, lasting, significant legislation for the nation.
So really, even when his own party was in power, he got nothing done that anyone will remember.

Well COngress can get an overriding number of votes to pass something Bush vetoes. But so far that's been impossible.

Congress, with a slight Democrat majority and with the Senate "leadership" of nutcase Nancy Pelosi, has been trying to do that right along. So what's new?

He's so stupid that he probably thinks the phrase "playing ball" actually means playing a game that includes a ball of some sort.

We need to draw up those articles of impeachment now, before things get busy next year.

How do you change someone like him? How do you reason with someone who thinks he's King George. I don't think he has the capacity to change.
