Roughly 6 weeks ago I was diagnosed as hypothyroidal (low levels of thyroid hormone production). I was placed on levothyroxine, which has improved the hormone levels. In the past couple of weeks, my libido has gone crazy. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

This is the maintenance dose, post-adjustments. Blood tests indicate that thyroid hormones are a proper levels.

Talk to your doctor, the first dose he puts you on, will not be the maintenance dose you take forever, you will need to be adjusted till he gets it just right. He needs to know about this.

You're just generally feeling better. Your low thyroid levels kept you tired all the time, which is horrid for the libido. Nature has made it so that when we have very limited energy we expend that energy on activities necessary for survival, not on reproduction. Now that you have more energy, there is plenty available for sexual purposes. Sounds like the meds are working! You'll soon get used to the new levels. Enjoy!
