In reply to the question, 'How do you buy a square foot of land anywhere, especially in Scotland?' I bought it off a reputatble business on eBay and you can get them from loads of internet shops as well. It was only £20 for one so I bought two. They're obsessed with Scotland so it should be a really, really nice suprise =) my grandma is obsessed with Daniel O Donnell as well and I've got her a singing Christmas Card with Him in it!!

Second - I haven't bought it yet but I'm getting a Roboquad for my boyfriend and can't wait to see him open it!

We bought (and I still can't believe it) a wooden rocking horse off ebay last night, we paid £6.01 for it its 5' long and 3 1/2 'high, am just so chuffed, just been to collect and its beautiful. Don't have much spare cash so done shopping on ebay and this was beyond my wildest expectations. My children will be delighted. The land sounds a great and original idea. merry Christmas.

First of all...I think the square foot of land thing is awesome. How cool!

For me...anything my son opens is received with some much excitement. He appreciates and is so thankful for anything he gets. When my husband travels and brings him home the plastic room key...you would think he was just handed a winning lotto ticket. He is only 4 and I hope and pray everyday that he keeps that sense of appreciation and gratitude. Merry Christmas!

My girlfriend has talked about this movie that she saw on television as a kid and would like to see again. The problem has been that it was done in 1979 and a movie on video never came out for it. I was able to find a copy of it on the internet it was done as a DVD in 2000. I think she is going to be really excited to get it. I can't wait.

I have bought my son a car park with little cars. Everytime we walk past it in Woolworths he gets excited and wants to stop to look at it, so I can't wait to see his little face on Christmas morning. He also has lots of Bob the Builder presents as he adores him, so that will be good too. He'll be 22 months at Christmas, so he will be very excited when he sees all his pressies!

So far I haven't bought any Christmas gift. It's not because I don't celebrate or am being cheap. It's more because I can't afford to if I want a roof over my head and food on my table. So far my gifts to anyone consist of community service projects.

The best most appreciated gift I've ever given I did not "purchase" at all. I had several messed up flights one year and ended up with almost $6000.00 of free flts. I gave my brother, his wife and three kids flt to visit us the following summer. That was about 8 years ago and it is still a fond subject at Christmas

I got my son an awesome Transformer. It's really detailed and it transforms from a robot to a jet. It also makes all kinds of sounds. He'll be so excited!

Wow, how generous!

I can't wait for mom to open her Mezuzah (a Jewish prayer scroll inside of a vial, meant to be hung on a door post) tomorrow night, for Channukah. She was given one by her grandfather as a little girl to put on the door to her room, but she lost it. I found one just like it to give to her. :)
