Are there any websites that have pictures of all the differnet breeds of turtles? I have a new turtle and I want to know what breed it is so that I can give it the proper care. Thank you! Also, I got it some baby turtle food with calcium, and it is not eating!

There are a couple good websites to visit, I listed one below. They have several pictures of different baby turtles that they sell. If you bought him from a pet shop it could be an import. But if you caught him in the wild, it is from North America. Either way though, the weblink below should help you. My daughter found a baby Red Ear Slider (just out of his egg shell-hours old) and she seemed to enjoy the shrimp pellets over the flake food. Now he is converted over to turtle food. I think the shrimp pellets gave a more fragrant smell which help stimulate his senses. Good luck, hope it works out for you.

Your turtle is not eating because it is getting used to its new enviroment. Just give it some time. Here is a forum where you can ask questions about your turtle- http://www.redearslider.com/forum ...or the main site- http://www.redearslider.com .

Here is a place where there are pictures and care thigns for all different breeds of turtles- http://www.austinsturtlepage.com . Good luck!

http:www.austinsturtlepage.com has care sheets with pics for pretty much all turtles.

However these will be pics of the adult turtles mostly so it might be harder to figure out what your baby is.

at http://www.turtlesale.com they have photos of the babies.

And if you still can't figure it out then join the forum at http://www.turtleforum.com and post a picture in Turtle Identification. Someone will know what kind yours is.

Well you should have got that information before getting the turtle. You should always have the habitat set up first and then get your animal. Always do your research and find out proper care before getting a new pet.

You can post a photo on a photosharing site and let us see it, or try this gallery of many species: http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/world_of_turtles/

As for not eating- honestly, if you don't know the species, you can't know the cares. The same site above has a lot of good care info.

Turtles are "species", not "breeds". FYI
If you're gonna do this, learn the lingo.
