I hate it when people generalize by saying "Happy Holidays" It's Christmas - with Christmas trees and Christmas cookies - Christmas lights and Christmas carols. Upset because I have a manger on my lawn? Tough - I celebrate Christmas. If you'd like to celebrate something other than Christmas, fine, it's a free country, but don't try to take away from the significance of my celebration - I wouldn't do that to you.

Christmas is Christmas, and I think it's terrible that the stores are forcing their employees to say something else...I think that you should just call it what it is. And if you don't do Christmas, but do Kwanza, then say that! It should be a personal choice.
But my biggest pet peeve, is people I know being negative about the holiday.

People that say their kids aren't going to have Christmas because they have no money. Christmas has come on December 25th every year for the past 2000 plus years. You have to plan and save even if you only put a few dollars away every pay day.

That Christmas items are sharing space on the shelves with Halloween things in October. Its almost like Thanksgiving doesnt exist and the Christmas season is 3 months long.

I agree with yours, but my BIGGEST is the traffic. I live in Columbus, Ohio now - I used to live in a MUCH smaller town and never knew what the traffic was like around the holidays. But WOW. It's like people just blatantly disregard every rule they've ever heard for laws on driving. I just got a new car this year too...and if someone backs up and hits me or dings my car (it happened to my boyfriends car last year), if I'm around to see it then there is gonna be hell to pay!

The major thing I hate about christmas is how commericalize it has become. Christmas msic started on one of my music stations right after Halloween and also how they start having christmas decorations for sale after 4th of July. That is what really gets me mad

Hearing people complain about how broke they are at Christmas and how it makes them go into debt. All I can think is budget throughout the year and live within your means.

Yep that is one of the top things on my list. It gets real old after awhile.
I also get sick of how commercialized Christmas has become. I wish it could be like it use to be!

The bell ringers at the entrance to shopping centers. I don't mind donating when I have extra but the bells drive me nuts and hurt my ears.

I hate it when people abbreviate Christmas by putting "x-mas". I HATE it! If you want to abbreviate it, at least put C-mas.
(((hugs)))
