No they wont.... It'll just bring on a massive storm of excuses from the SEC fans...
* "LSU got worn down by their really tough schedule"
* "The officiating was horrible and OSU biased"
* "OSU was holding LSU all night"
* "This was the only real opponent OSU played all year, so they had more than enough energy to have ONE good game."
* "LSU was injured and banged up. without the injuries, LSU wins easy, 51-0"
* "while they managed to get lucky for one game and beat LSU, there is NO WAY they would have beat Georgia. (or replace 'Georgia' with Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama, etc).
* "Ohio State cheats too much"
* "Lee Corso jinxed LSU"
and so on, so forth.
Ohio State could beat LSU 91-0, and it still wouldn't shut up people from the Super Excuse Conference. So dont worry about them...
Just worry about the Buckeyes winning the Crystal Football and national championship. I think they have a good shot at getting it done.

Ohio State will be the National Champions for the 2nd time in 5 years. They will not get the respect they deserve even if they blow out LSU because everyone thinks the Big 10 is pathetic. I don't get it tho, the SEC champs lost to two teams one of which is still unranked. USC lost to currently unranked Stanford as a second loss. and WVU lost to unranked Pitt. The Buckeyes ONLY loss was to a team that actually made it to a BCS game. I got news for everyone too, even if there was a playoff system people would complain about seeding so although it would help find a real #1 it would end the controversy.

Everyone needs to just sit back and let the game speak for it's self. I am a Buckeye through and through.....even if we win the game it wont make people stop talking.....if we lose they will still talk. No matter what I think or the next person thinks.....Ohio State is Big Ten Champs and LSU is SEC Champs....that is already in the books. The next chapter is yet to be written. Kudos to both teams for a job well done this season.......

I agree with the above that Les Miles is an idiot but I hope LSU wins this because Ohio St. had a joke schedule and LSU actually played some really good SEC teams. Overall though this game is a complete joke. These 2 teams are not the best in college football. The Fiesta Bowl is going to be the game to watch.

No...OSU will never be respected. There are SO many Buckeye haters on here its crazy. Even when they ran the table last year and had a Heisman tropy winner people still bad-mouthed them. I guess that's just the nature of the beast. When you're one of the biggest, baddest and most storied football programs in the nation, people will constantly want to tear them down.
The haters focus on last year's title game. (It was ONE game! and fairly ironic that that's ALL they can talk smack about.)
I really think OSU has a good chance at a win this time and I hope they can pull it out!

Ohio State is undesirable against the unfold offense (ie Florida and Illinois) yet their protection is astounding against regularly occurring usual offenses. sturdy element for them is that LSU would not also have a valid offense, the pastime would be a protecting conflict and Ohio State has the final offensive participant in wells giving them a sturdy danger.

IF Ohio State beats LSU, there won't be anyone on here (YA)but Buckeye fans.....The rest of us will still be staring at our TV's in disbelief.

Even though I'm from the south I can't stand LSU. Les Miles is in my opinion the biggest idiot coach since Bob Davie. I actually hope Ohio State wins so i wont have to hear LSU fan mouth all summer.

No, because i hate to say it (because of Austin N) but I think USC is a better football team than Ohio State.
This just proves that there needs to be a playoff system of some kind...even is it is only 12 or 8 teams.
