Why does the BBC show Top Gear feature only BMWs, Mercedes Benzs, Audis, Jaguars, Aston Martins, Ferraris, Porsches, Alfa Romeos, Lamborghinis, Bentleys etc.? Why don't they feature cars we ordinary folks drive?

Drool factor. They do show some small cars but tearing around their airfield in a Renault Twingo is less impressive than a Murcielago. Besides, don't you want to see what's on offer when you win the Lottery?

Three big school boys, being paid to drive flash cars and muck about

anyone else want that job

They do feature normal cars, but true the expensive ones appear more. But they do show the down side of the flash ones.
Like taking them over curbs or speedbumps

The show is fun to watch, even for someone with little knowledge of cars

They do feature ordinary cars. But, the viewers ask them to put on more exotic and faster cars because that way, it is more fun to watch.
