You mean 'How good was Sean Taylor'?
He was good, one of the best secondary players on the Redskins. It would be similar to the Mavs losing Josh Howard.

Why would I compare Sean Taylor to anyone in the NBA. He was a football player. Sean Taylor was a first round draft pick and was turning into one of the best safeties in the league. He was already becoming a player in the mold of Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu. He unfortunately will never be able to reach his full potential as a football player but that pales in comparison to what he will never be able to reach as a person. I hope his family, especially his children, can get on with their lives and past this pain they are feeling right now. What happened to Sean Taylor reminds me of how fragile life is and how prepared you have to be to leave this world. To me it is very important to let the one's I know how much I love them because you never know when the time will come when you won't get to see them again. The Redskins will miss him very very much, but they will be able to move on much easier than his family. I thought that the Redskins coming out with ten men Sunday was an incredible jesture.

honestly, it would be like someone killing Jordan when he was a bull. With Sean Taylor's presence, the Redskins could have had at least 3 more wins.
Taylor is probably one of the best safeties to ever play the game. The only one to compare him too might be Ronnie Lott. Yes, he was that good.

He was still an up and coming star. He had only been in the league a couple of years but he had already been to a probowl. It's more about how much potential he had. Given a few years, if he was consistant, he could have been among the best safeties in the league.

He was O.K., but had a ton of potential. He led the NFL in missed tackles last year and was sometimes so aggressive he would get burnt on the play fake. On the plus side he was very athletic and extremely fast. Given time he would have become one of the top 5 in the NFL.

sean taylor "was" very good. he was a hard nosed, hard hitting, safety. all you need to do to find out how good is to look at the redskins defensive numbers before he was injured and after. the skins were a top 5 defense when he was playing and after he got hurt, they dropped to about 20 and went on their current losing streak. taylor was a true difference maker.

It would be like the Wizards losing Antawn Jamison (although Sean Taylor actually COULD play defense).

I think the simple loss of human life should be enough to make it a huge loss.
But, I would say he is comparable in talent to a Keith Van Horn or so.
