Scottish people are supposed to have the heaviest brains of any nation (according to scientific studies) I think the most Inteligent are the Chinese followed by the Indians then
Europeans then the rest in any order you like. I'm from Scotland.

sorry this is just my opinion but the statement that was made about china's population being at around about a billion or two or so...so there is bound to be some clever people out of that bunch..
hmm...I would also consider another reason. The competition and rivalry against students in China is tense. There are 5 million 12th graders around China fighting for a place at one of their universities, only 1% of the 5 million are accepted. So you would expect top academic abilities all around if you were wanting to become a student at anyone of their universities otherwise you wouldn't waste their time with mediocre grades in which some universities in some countries do overlook sometimes(suprising I know).
India has the same situation, the population growth between these two countries is growing at a rapid rate! You would expect high expectations as an academic at anyone of these countries.
Although I have never heard of the statement about scottish people! It would be great to get some info on that! = ]

LOL.I think it might have something to do with all those deep fried Mars bars the scottish are so fond of.The chinese have the numbers advantage.Out of a billion people you are sure to find some really clever ones.All in all there are smart people from every nation.
