Not saying the pledge of allegiance and not being loyal to the flag are to very different things. Isn't America based on free speech and free thought? Then why can't he express his views and not say the stupid pledge of allegiance?
8 thumbs down so far for saying that America is based on free speech? wtf? Isn't it?

On the surface i happen to like Mr Obama hes articulate and affable but the more i look at the man the more i don't like what i see. Like you said his refusal to say the pledge of allegiance, wear a flag pin on his lapel or place his hand over his heart during the national anthem are all warning signs to me. If he truly wants a new vision for Americans why not do the Honorable and respectful thing and respect our flag? Who's he trying to please by not doing so? His convenient conversion from Islam to Christianity, when the mood struck him, is also another red flag. Ohhh I'm sure Mr Obmama has a clear vision for the future of America but its only clear to him and those that are pulling his strings. Hes a puppet but whos the master?

Let's stop the rumor mill right here. Obama has an explanation for his behavior. You could also ask why men don't remove their ball caps during prayer in nat'l sports or during the Star Spangled Banner.
By the way, Obama is a Christian and attends the same Christian church in Chicago that Oprah Winfrey does.

both one in all those "subject matters" were addressed particularly really and intelligently by ability of Obama and his supporters. First, it isn't envisioned that individuals position their palms over their hearts in the course of the nationwide anthem in basic terms the pledge of allegiance. genuine patriotic individuals comprehend this, of route you dont. As for him no longer wearing the flag pin, Obama is look after in his patriotism and doesnt experience the want to educate it to anybody. it would want to be really user-friendly for someone who change into attempting to fool the individuals of this united states of america to placed on the flag pin and not in any respect propose it. He chooses to reveal his patriotism with deeds. finally, "muslin" is a fabric. in case you lived in an Islamic united states of america, you would possibly want to comprehend the thanks to spell the note wisely.

From what I understand, the part you are referring too, he indeed did put his hand over his heart. He was distracted by something else and then after placed his hand over his heart. The video stops prior to that.
The right wing has used this as a battle cry against Obama. It is a false battle cry and taken out of context.
That is called, propaganda.

He is not ready to lead this country, wether he says the Pledge or not. I am from Illinois and work in state government. He has done nothing spectacular in his 7 years in the Illinois house. The only reason he got elected was from fall out from the Gov. George Ryan scandal. His opponant also had the name Ryan and at the time it was a bad name to have, especially if you were a republican. Maybe in 20 years.....but not now. And dont forget, his mother is white, dad black. So why is he running as a 100% minority? He always talks about his African roots and never his white Kansas roots. Why is that?

This is old news. He's been very honest about the fact that he sometimes does not, and that he does not consider it a sighn of patriotism. He is a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. Christian.

I just don't understand why anyone who chooses to live in any country wouldn't pledge allegiance to the same. If you can't bring yourself to pledge allegiance to your country, why do you choose to live there?
(Yes, I realize that some people don't get to choose the country in which they live, but every citizen of the United States of America does.)

and that's why he shouldn't be president (no dem should be for that matter)
And "lore" the pledge:
A) is not stupid!! just FYI you are calling every soldier that has fought for this country, and the freedoms that we have stupid...
and
B) yes, we have freedom of speech, but obviously he has no pride in this country if he couldn't put his hand over his heart and say the pledge. In that case, he should not be running....
GO RUDY IN 08 !!
