I like Billie for a girl, but I think it works better as a nickname than a given name (just my opinion).

Billie Aurelia Haynes is my favorite of the two.

How about Wilhelmina, the feminine form of Wilhelm (William). If you can get Bill out of William, then why not Billie out of Wilhelmina? At least she'll have a real name or a nickname to chose from.

Wilhelmina Aurelia Haynes.

Billie sounds like a girl living in the woods or with tons of freckles and a tom-boyish character. (No offense.....) Try www.babynames.com and it's easier to pick a common name for a baby then a unisex name. However, if the mom of the baby is rather rough and tom-boyish, then it's safe to say that Billie is quite appropriate.

no I don't really like the name Billy. I personally like names that are either a BOY name or a GIRL name. not unisex. But if you really like the name Billy, try using another name after it. My horseback riding instructor's name is Billy-Sue because her mom's name was Sue, and her dad's was Billy. So you could try a name like Billy Lynn or Billy Anne.

hope that helps :)

No...Billie is not a name, it's a nickname. Billy is traditionally a male nickname form of William...Most Billy's grow up and go by "Bill" which is a strong and traditional mans name. Your daughter can never grow out of her "nickname" as it is not a real name. Imagine a woman named Bill!! yuk! Imagine a CEO named Billie...ha! It is a little kids nickname...not a real name that an adult would have. So...no.

I personally hate it. It makes me think of some rotten toothed hill jack. Sorry. The middle names are very pretty & do not sound good with the dreaded Billie.
