what should i do with a ripped dollar?

should i tape it..is that allowed and will people accept it? or should i just take it to a bank and have them replace it?

its a five dollar bill

As long as the serial numbers match and you have 3/4 of the bill, you can tape it and it should be accepted anywhere you purchase something. If you still feel unsure about it, take it to your bank and they will replace it. They will put it in with their mutilated money to be shipped back to the Fed Reserve where it will be destroyed for good.

Tape it and give it to a bank. As long as the serial numbers are intact they have to replace it.

take it to the bank- they can replace it and you will feel more comfortable than trying to ditch the tape wadded dollar off.

id tape it....ive had it happened to me and one cashier wouldnt take it but the next one did. since its only a buck, id just tape it and try until someone accepted it. Good luck!

just tape it together with some clear scotch tape. nobody should tell you they can't accept it. I've done that before, and they accepted it just fine.
