There may be some suspension modifications you can make. I guess the cheapest would be buy slightly wider tires. You may not want to go too wide as this can also affect things.

Change the tires. The Aerio is such a small lightweight car that there's just not a lot of room to work with here. It was never meant to be a performance car either. It's an economy car & that's all there is to it.

try an upgrade to 17" rims with 40 series tires and you can use potenza (rotation) tires they have good traction
It will even make the aerio look better, have fun.

Change your tires to wider tires and try buying High-performance tires (summer preferred, but some all-season are actually pretty sticky).
