Why do people always have to write how they'll use their gun if you come over to their house. I really wonder if these people are suffering from mental illness.

My husband is a cop in Waco, TX, and he has a lot of guns. Several glocks, 2 desert eagles, a few rifles, a kel-tec, shotguns, and some other guns I may have missed. A whole lot of accessories as well. He collects guns, especially WW1&2 guns.
He has guns for work and because he can.

You work for the ATF right? If I would not let the government know what weapons I have why would I tell a complete stranger? Seriously though I have a 22lr pistol for snakes and varmits, a 357mag. for riding horses in the mountains(cougars), a 30-30 for deer hunting and several black powder pistols and rifles for fun. Oh yea, I forgot to mention my black powder cannon just for fun.

My swords (except my Dai-Katana) are for show.

Any number of items can be used as a weapon.

I own and safely store 2 guns in my home.

If you decide to come over and attempt an un authorized break in at my house, I'll show you the rest.

You won't remember seeing any of them..

But I'll show them to you.

I have one 9mm Ruger pistol, with a high capacity magazine. I keep it stored in an electronic-lock, heavy steel gun safe on my nightstand. Only I know the combination. I can access it in about 6 seconds.

I live in the U.S.

Reason? Save taxpayers the expense of a trial and/or incarceration if someone breaks into my home. BOOM - you're dead...

I have bread and steak knives in a drawer in my kitchen.
There is a jig saw in my shop and a powered hand drill...
Also I have ball peen hammers, screw drivers, and razor blades... They have other uses. My cat might scratch people and I carry a swiss army knife... I live in the USA.
My CAR could be a weapon too, come to think of it.

If you come into my house about 3 am you will find out. The reason I have them is to protect my family from people who ask questions that they have no need to know.
