.... desperately hoping to find any old bit of tabloid garbage, in some laughable attempt to give credence to their completely unsubstantiated belief that the McCanns are guilty of manslaughter or worse?
why are they so small-minded that they care so much about 2 people whom they've never even met, when there's a million more important things going on in the world?
is it just proof that the tabloids serve the government by obfuscating reality so that small-minded people get distracted and so are oblivious to the real crimes committed by people in power every single day?

Do they? Can't say I'd noticed. I lost interest after a week or so.
You're right though. What makes anyone think anyone else is actually remotely interested. Yes, when they find the body I'll be mildly intrigued as to whodunit, but until then I'd prefer to see most of the effort and resources put into finding some of the other thousands of kiddies who go missing each year with out so much as a murmur from the police, let alone the press..

I have a real simple solution that I have applied to this problem. I handle it the same way I handle nasty people in my real life. I ignore them. They are boring you anyway, right?
At first I used to try to debate the issues with them. After all, that is why we are here, right, to share opinions?
But once I realized that these people didn't give one hoot about Madeleine, they just wanted a soap box to show the world their nastiness, I slowly started ignoring them. Now I have them all blocked and I get less email violations from Yahoo, less aggravated with their stupid posts, and spend that time that I would of spent banging my head against the screen on more interesting questions and people.
Not to say I have blocked all Antis. Some of them present their case very well. In fact one of them got a best answer from me. I did not agree but her points were well presented.
I think of the antis troll brigade like naughty children. They just want attention. With children though, you praise them when they do good and ignore bad behavior. In this case, that's not possible.
My guess is the antis probably act like morons in every category.
So take a deep breathe and I G N O R E them.

Not just the tabloids also the bbc, sky and any other news on tv. bbc is by far the worst its not news its preaching or propaganda.As for the McCann's its nothing but a media circus now.

Some people are obsessive and addictive.
Look in any pub, any casino etc and you will find people who lose all rational and objectional sense about reality and take on a mission.
It often gives them a purpose and meaning to an otherwise dull life.
PS I'm not a pro or anti and this has nothing to do with the McCanns

I seriously believe that some of the McCann obsessives need help. I'm almost beginning to feel sorry for them; how awful to have nothing in your life except hatred for a couple you don't even know personally. I've been shocked by the venom poured out and really quite disturbed by some of the more violent suggestions - it must be dreadful to have that kind of mind!
