As long as you keep it in plenty of water and away from any direct heat, like pellet stoves or baseboard heaters, it should be fine. I'd look into the possibility of getting a tree with the root ball still attached. Many tree farms offer this Earth-friendly solution or you can dig it yourself if you get it from the woods. Just keep the root ball moist and spray occasionally with fertilizer diluted in a spray bottle. Tree can be 'mounted' in a 5 gallon bucket with a skirt over it. Should help your tree last the holidays inside and give you a nice memory for years to come should you decide to plant it afterward!!! :)

I would leave it a while....... and lay it down in the garden until 7-10 days before Christmas. The cold/frost does it good. It helps the needles to stay on better. Then give it a daily watering.
If it goes up today then you will have a bald tree by Christmas, no matter how much you water it!! I know this to be correct by my own experience...X

A fresh cut tree that is kept watered and away from a heat source will be fine.

Compromise and leave it a couple of days. Besides, it depends - was it a wet or a dry summer where you live? If it was dry, better leave it. You don't want it to look horrible come the big day!

Go ahead and put up your tree. It won't do any harm. Just make sure that you water it a lot or it will en up dying. One of my friends has theirs up and I have been bagging my mom to put our up. But we don't have enough money to get one yet.

I would wait awhile with a real tree. You will have needles dropping long before Christmas if you put it up now.

Depends where You live. If it's a low-rent housing estate then it's perfectly acceptable to put them up in the middle of november.
