i am going for an ultrasound of my ovaries in a couple of days and i'm wondering what to look out for during the procedure??
i think that i may have PCOS and asked for the test- i won't be able to see the Dr (who will have the final report) for a few weeks............and i know the sonographer probably won't divulge any info to me........ so if anyone knows the tell tale images then pleases let me know!!
i'm also an RN so hopefully this will help me self diagnose lol
thanks :)

well i went for a ultrasound when i was 16 (3 years ago) and although i couldnt work out myself was i was seeing the lady told me there and then that i had PCOS she said i had multiple cystits and my ovarys were enlarged. Im in the UK not sure what the US are like but, yeah she told me as soon as she saw them
(oh by the way she showed me the U/S picture of the cystits and they just looked like white smudges on my ovarys)

I had a virgina ultrasound which gives you a better veiw of the ovaries, I got mines done this year in April, on both of my ovaries their were many cycts covering it, also my ovaries were larger then normal, I am not ure if the clomid did it or the cycts, it looked like bunch of bubles on my ovaries, you can get the results back to you that very same day
