Christmas is for all the Christians. But I think it is and for all over the world. Jesus change the whole life of people. He teached (I don't remember the past of this word) the democracy, and gave to the whole world peace and love. The history of the whole world has changed. We celebrate His Nativity....

Unfortunately, the true meaning of Christmas has been lost to many, and I in the past have been guilty of forgetting really what it was all about, but with age comes wisdom and soul searching, and I remind the kids ( although grown ) , that the holiday is not about "i want, I want, i want".
This year I have started reading bible story books to my grandchild, so that at least she may get the fundamentals of it.
Don't get me wrong, I love to give gifts, but I am not going overboard, except when it comes to the grandchild. Although Christmas is a religious holiday, it is also for the kids, but it should be kept within reason and the child should know why we celebrate the holiday.

The celebration of the birth of Christ. People celebrate it for all kinds of reasons...tradition mostly. I would say a great % of people don't take that very seriously. It has become way too materialistic.
