It is an E-system. I meant from a page on my computer. A little box opens, and all the details are there. Can't remember how I got there. It isn't printed on the computer it's self anywhere.

Are you looking for the actual serial number of the computer that the manufacturer puts on the outside of the computer - or are you looking for the NAME of your computer?
If you are looking for the name of the computer - right click My Computer - go to properties - the name will be listed when you click the computer name tab.

For some computers it wil be on the back or bottom... on a label that may say S/No or Serial or something similar... and may have a barcode on as well.

For some computers you may find it stored in the BIOS... if you go into the BIOS pages at startup you may see it there.

Otherwise... on your receipt perhaps.

There is no one answer as there are hundreds of different computer companies, thousands of different models.

Mine's is on a semi-metallic piece of material on the back of the PC. You'll find the number you are after next to the barcode or it will have something like:

Serial No: xxxx xxxxx xxx xxxxxx

Depends on what type of computer it is (operating system, type of hardware...) and you didn't tell us that!
