Why are liberals so obsessed with larry craig's sex life, but don't care about barney frank's?

Liberals are not obsessed with this, but Republicans are. They convened their ethics committee to try to remove Craig after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor by paying a ticket.

Here is the difference between the two senators.

When Larry Craig was a closeted gay, he used his power as a legislator to vote down anti discrimination laws for gays, gay civil unions and hate crime enhancements. He used republican rhetoric to increase the climate of homophobia at the same time that he conducted secret rendevous with men in rest rooms and hotel rooms.

Barney Frank has never been anti-gay, and he has never sought to increase discrimination and hate.

I don't see much liberal posting about this. You clearly aren't a liberal. So why do you even bring this up? Leave the guy alone. Most of the posts on this were initially of the "all a big understanding" nonsense. Well, it seems that Senator Craig's sex life is out so leave him the hell alone.

And while you are at it, leave President Clinton's sex life out of it, too. That's all I ever here from the Right Wing. NO ONE CARES.

It is possible hypocrisy, Senator Craig votes against legislation that supports equality for gay and lesbian citizens.
Barney Frank votes for that sort of legislation. Senator Craig may also just be a victim of a set up and straight. Police Officers in those sting operations are really just a bunch of crooks. They can make it seriously inconvenient for you and since it appears trivial at first, pleading guilty to get out of there doesn't look like such a big deal, at first. Other than what they manipulate you to say, they have no proof. There is no proof against Senator Craig. I'd don't believe the testimony of cops anymore.
These sting operations are just ways to further oppress those of us of the Gay and Lesbian community. I'd trust Senator Craig before I would trust a cop.

Larry Craig didn't support same-sex marriage.

So I guess the private sex lives of any politician who does not support same-sex marriage are fair game in their view.

None of the major presidential candidates, including Hillary Clinton, support it.

Because Larry Craig is a republican and may well be a liar. Those without moral grounding attack only those that claim to have it. Those with moral grounding attack all that are immoral.

Because Larry Craig is a hypocrit and won't admit he's gay.

He was against gay marriage and gay rights and for "traditional values", but the guy turns out to be gay himself.

Barney Frank, on the other hand, admits he's gay and never once put himself a holier then though politician.
