it's the norm in western societies, replace with polygamy and he's no longer HER man, all her power has to be competed for, she is constanlty under scrutiny.

don't get me wrong -I don't advocate change - our society is strengthened by monogamy - it is of far higher moral quality - it fosters higher quality social patterns than polygamous societies can muster, the more people in families ( and the fewer lone males ) the greater the strength of a society!

I personally have never asserted any dominance or power over my man, not to make him feel inferior, or to make him do something. I feel that in a relationship it must be equal in all ways, that both need to feel that one is just as worthy as the other. The alchemy of relationship is very different than it should be, far too much game playing and too little love.

Women and men do have a different way of communication, women are far more emotional (than the typical men, more effiminate men are capable), women are more empathetic, women have the ability to handle stress extremely well in difficult circumstances, women have the ability to multitask much more easily, and our sensuality has a different depth than a man.
We women have lived in socities which are Patriarchal, male dominated, so I don't truly know where you are coming from, I am giving broad information to cover the bases.

However we do have the power to turn a man's head any way we choose, and that is a power that a man has as well (if he embraces his sensual side).
Those are simply differences, though. Does not mean better, just means different.
Sex appeal and intelligence will only get a woman or man so far, to love unconditionally will make her or him a precious person indeed, and in high demand.
This requires loving someone just as they are, if you can master this, man or woman, then you have all of the power in the world. Love has far more power than any intellect or sex appeal. It is the most underrated power, but the most powerful. love and light!

I certainly believed that it is through her sex appeal. It's woman's inderent power that drives man crazy. The physical aspects comes first where men is attracted most. The intelligence comes in when the man has already made an acquaintance with the woman and later the total personality of a woman is now altogether assessed.

Men by nature is attracted to women through the physical atttributes of a woman. It is first the eyes that tells a man that a woman has the sex appeal drive. Sex appeal counts most to man. They got interested on the beauty and later brains follows as the two individual have exchange personal traits. However, the man should also has this driving sex appeal for easy attraction and binding.

I go for sex appeal.
Truth is the Good things in Life are the Ones we don't notice.
Perhaps Intelligence (from a Philosophical point of view where a Womans powerful store of Knowledge overcomes a Man who tries to be smart ) ... but naturally sex is a camouflage weapon in their intelligent scheme.

I think this question only applies in the western world. Any even then only to a small degree, men on in general still have more advantages in western society then do women(at least if the statistics I have heard are to be believed). If that is the the case then my question is what power?

The man wants the attention of the female, so he gives power over them to the female.....

just like in the market, the rarer the product (female attention)there is, the more money (power over the man) that is needed
