London: amazing city. I used to live there.
(51. Male, Cornwall UK)
The centre is relatively compact, and contains an incredible amount of history from the 1,000 year old Tower of London and Westminster Abbey through to the latest "Gherkin".and the re-worked St Pancras Station.
See it from the river...
It also has a surpising number of central parks and other green spaces (Even if it is alleged that's because some of them stand over ancient plague pits)
Beyond the centre is a massive sprawl of suburbs, villages grown together and lost in development and hordes and hordes of people. Not so attractive, except for particular (but numerous) spots.
Typographically, the London tube map is probably the best icon of London,
and the 2012 Olympic logo the worst.

I'm 20 and I'm french. London is most beautiful city in the world! I travelled a lot but for me, London is the place I go to feel at home. I like having lunch in Leicester Square, going to see a movie or a musical in the West End, shopping in Piccadily or Regent Street.

London is great!
im 15 and a girl and i am from England but i live in Australia, i lived in England until the end of 2005. Some parts of london are breathtaking liek the upperclass areas, the old buildings and the parks, but it has it bad parts like on teh outskirts where there is alot of crime and murder drugs and gang wars. To me London is home, and it always will be, its everything England is packed into one city, its one of a kind, very original and is different to any otehr place i haev ever been. My dad is from Walthamstow, a town in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, North East London and it is VERY rough, you wouldnt walk around there at nighttime. but you get areas like canterberry where a two bedroom apartment will go for 800,000 pounds! its very diverse, there is alot of polish in the Uk these days, and certain areas carry different races and kinds of people, it is a very seperated city in some aspects but very connected in others, all in all i lvoe it. not everyone in london is racist and hostile and horrible, liek every place it has its share of those kind of people, but personally i have no issue with the people, jsut in certain areas and at certain times of the day your more aqt risk to me that kind of person

London is our nations capital, it is teeming with history and historical places. From Roman times when it was known as Londinium, 2 World Wars when London was the capital of the free world, and now one of the most popular places visited by tourists. I love London.
