I doubt anyone can answer this, but it's been bugging me for ages.
Basically it was like a sci-fi sort of movie set in space, with ships and stuff. There was a guy called Luke, and his dad turned out to be this Dark something, guy all in black with a mask and heavy breathing. Oh and there were these two robots, one short, one tall. And some furry creature called Chewbecky, I think. They had these sword fights with light beams. I think Indiana Jones man might have been in it. There were all these wars and stars and planets and such.
It's a long shot, but if it rings a bell with any movie geniuses, let me know.

That's a great idea for a film! How about me and you write it direct it and produce three of them ?
Then we can promise 6 more films that chronolize the tale, but only deliver 3.
We'll wait a really long time to release them too.
Allow there to be a ridiculous amount of speculation as to whether or not they will even ever be made, and once we announce they will be, we market them to hell and back and bleed any fans of the first three for all they are worth.
We don't have to worry about actually tying the stories together either, because people will be so desperate for them by then they'll accept any garbage we throw at them.
We'll call it Dark war in the Stars or ....Must Love Dogs.
