As an avid Red Sox fan, I'm anxious awaiting to know if Ellsbury will be included in this trade. I was reallly getting used to watching the Soxs play and WIN. But feel that IF, Theo and his dollars, somehow make this trade that another curse will fall over Fenway! Remember Babe Ruth?

yes i think it will be completely STUPID if they trade Ellsbury! he played so well last year and it was only his first time in the majors....so he's probably gonna be even better than he was this year. plus, the Red Sox already have some good pitchers like Beckett, Matsusaka, and Schilling, so i think it would definitely be in their best interest to keep Ellsbury so they will have some good hitting too.

Lol when the Red Sox traded Babe Ruth they didn't get much in return, at least this time they'll get something in return. Also, it would be more like what they did with Jeff Bagwell if anything, but that's a stretch the only way it would is if Santana becomes injury proned. Ellsbury will definitely have to be included in a deal for him.

I will give u a good source to find out all the information u need. Use the website www.mlb.com I use it frequently. And yes Jacoby Ellsbury was included in the deal but they took Jon Lester out of the deal.

I believe we could hear something this week as the winter meetings start today. The Yankees have also stated that they will pull the offer for Hughes and Cabrera if the don't get an answer from the Twins sometime Monday, December 3rd.

If the Ynaks get him, it will be today, as Steinbrenner has set a deadline. Otherwise, he will porbably be a Sock. I do not think it is worth it for either team to give up so much young talent for him.
