Nane ghat is a good and easy trek but best in rainy season. If you are planning before summer, still you can make it. Please do not try in summer season-- too hot, no water.

You can take any bus from Kalyan going towards Malshej Ghat. After Murbad, village Tokavade comes. Go a further, you will come to Vaishakhare village. There's a small pathway on your right ( towards Malshej) which will take you to Naneghat. If confused, ask in Vaishakhare village. Probably you will not find anybody once you go ahead towards the right turn, it's jungle. Max time to reach :3 hours from Tokavade. Buses will drop you at Vaishakhare stop.

Nane ghat is about 2700ft height from sealevel. It's ancient ( 1st century). It was popular trade route for long time. You will find a big cave, well built stair to climb, few smaller caves and a beautiful view from the top.

If you wish to spend more days, cross and go ahead. Jivdhan fort is situated nearby. Infact if you wish you can trek till Junnar in a couple of days from Naneghat. ( you will need to take ST Bus just some time ahead from Jivdhan fort area)

In case you need some more information, contact somebody from Youth Hostels in Mumbai. The Maharashtra Office is in Parel east area ( just below the Dadar- Lalbaug flyover), swapna purti building. Malad unit of YHA is very active, They might have lots of info for you.

I must say it's a pleasurable trek. I have done it 3 times till now. Once in Diwali season and twice in pouring rainy season.

Enjoy yourself.
