I think he is inconsistent. He looked awful until the 4th quarter! Opinions?

In my opinion, Eli Manning is a huge upset to the Giants. He was a first round draft choice in 2004 and he's not acting like one. His brother Peyton Manning was also a first round draft choice and Manning is one of the league's best quarterbacks. You're right, Eli is inconsistent. He's not playing for what it's worth, the Giants traded Philip Rivers and Shawn Merriman for Eli Manning and all Manning is doing is ticking us off. I've always favored the Giants because they're the home team but I've never favored Eli Manning. He's always throwing picks and fumbles, and can basically never get a completion done. Nevertheless, he should retire already even if he's only been in the NFL for 3 years, because it's a waste of having him. If not, the Giants absolutely NEED to pick up a new quarterback at the end of the season and cut Manning or put him at back-up quarterback, because frankly, the Giants won't have themselves another Super Bowl ring without a new quarterback.

Its no longer even close. Eli Manning performed particularly properly down the stretch of the ordinary season and interior the playoffs the 365 days the Giants gained the comprehensive Bowl, yet he wasn't the considerable reason they gained. he's often remembered for by some ability getting faraway from Patriots defenders on that favorite toss-up, yet David Tyree made the paranormal seize, and is the guy who particularly could get nearly all of the credit on that play. Then Eli tossed the eventual pastime-winner to Plaxico Burress, however the pastime did no longer end till the Giants aggressive protecting place bull-rushed the Patriots into submission on the idealpersistent of the pastime. Peyton, on the different hand, gained with a miles less impressive protection and has completed so for many of his occupation. His defenses have continuously been sturdy, and often times particularly sturdy, yet i might argue that none of them ever have been as sturdy as Eli's improve into that one 365 days. and notwithstanding in case you may say Eli had plenty to do with that identify win, that still improve into the only 365 days the place he had issues remotely jointly. he's been a reasonably inconsistent participant, otherwise, jointly as Peyton has been the form of consistency and elite production in all sides for his finished occupation.

I followed Archie from the time he played at Drew High School. Archie seldom did as well as his contemporaries because the other ten guys he was on the field with were often not as good as the eleven they were facing. The same seems to be true with Eli. Nobody's "consistent" when he's on his back. While Eli isn't one of the top starting QB's, he's not in the bottom half, either, and that's a very exclusive club. I also like the idea of an Ole Miss QB playing for the Giants, chunkin' it like Charlie (there's a trivia question hiding in that someplace, with extra credit for those who know how far it is from Drew to Clarksdale without googling it!).

He's the greatest (lmao)! Oh that's his brother Peyton. I think Eli's a waste of a football player who was hyped because of his bloodline. He's still immature and will never be a great QB. He didn't even have a good college career and now SD, Pittsburg, and Houston has a better QB that came out that year.

certainly not worth the money he's paid, glad he wouldn't play for my Chargers. Rivers may not be having a great year but he's not the Chargers problem either. Manning will not lead the Giants to a Super Bowl, he's too inconsistent and susceptible to a good pass rush. knock him down a few times and he fold's worse than Craig Morton

He is overrated and will never accomplish anything in the NFL. He is a decent QB who get's hype because of his dad and brother. he has talent around him, and still does nothing. But if you want to know how he really is, just watch him during a game. no emotion, looks like a little kid who had his feelings hurt every time he messes up. The Giants need to start looking elsewhere for help.

i'll agree he's def inconsistent, but i feel like he has a lot of pressure on him in NY and has the potential of being a good QB but its going to take a few good games to get his confidence back

Eli was lucky to get the win today. Credit where its due, he made a lot of mistakes, but showed skills when it counted.

i think he messed his career up by not going to SD,too much pressure on him in NewYork..couldve went to a team that didnt need him to be the man, just turn give it to LT or throw 5 yrds to Gates.....he messed that up.....right now i honestly have to say hes probably one of the bottom 4-5 starting Qbs in football ...
