Papercut as well as others offer the suggested solutions. Certainly the link Gloria provides is thorough and accurate. Kudos to her.
You didn't note the details other than what you've tried so far; and I'm curious as to what results you're getting.
I use a wet saw or a diamond blade in a Diag. Grinder, and have no problems. Nippers often offer and IFFY cut of break. For PANE glass; certainly a "glass cutter" works then a snap.
I hope you'll check out that included link.

With all due respect hopefully you've also included at least 10% for OOPS or waste.

My husband and I have glass wall tile that we are planning on putting up in our kitchen next week. We researched and found that the method you say you're using is one of the recommended ones. I'm assuming the glass tile is either breaking or not cutting cleanly? This concerns me and I will read your answers with interest. This is a link to the best glass tile installing information we have found. Good Luck.

Honestly the only way I know is to score the surface and break, just like a soft ceramic tile or glass using a tile cutter.

use a diamond cutter if its glass, put your glass on a soft cutting board or just a newpaper to avoid cracking it up, use a straight edge with your cutter like a ruller in cutting, after you made diamond cut layout a masking tape just along the diamond cut, then tap it gently with a rubber mallet.
