I feel your pain!! I am RN student, married and have two young children I too feel guilty when I should be studying but choose to something else (like answer these questions). But the fact is, we need time away from the book and from school. It makes us better students.......providing your grades are good and you do study most of the time. So try not to feel so bad and if you just can't shake the feeling maybe try telling your patents the truth they may respect you for acknowledging the fact that you need a break. Good luck and keep up your studies!!

Tell them the truth, that you having difficulties concentrating and it worrying you, they should be sympathetic, maybe you should try studying in an environment more conducive to study, i always head of to the library. You could get a friend to be your study buddy but ONLY if you're going to actually study and not braid each others hair! More than likely they will try and help you, and dont worry, the fact you feel bad about wasting time is actually an indication that in the future when faced with the same options you are less likely to waste time again! Good luck.

If you want to admit what you did it is always good to ask for help in the area and to admit that you want to do better.

If you do not want to admit to what you are doing, then I would suggest trying to change your behavior on your own or with help from people other than your parents.

If you don't want to admit nor change then perhaps creative ways to explain your day's activities are in order. Make things sound like a chore or tell about the things that you were able to get done. If all else fails, tell them how busy of a schedule you have planned out for yourself for the next day.

Why lie to your parents. Be true to yourself.
When at work you work. WHen in school, study. Wheni nfront of parents be honest.

Perhaps if you tel your parents what you feel about studying or moments you cannot study, they may be able to help you or inspire you to study.

Yes, I will feel guilty also if I lie to my parents.
Myparents worked very hard to send me to school. My dad passed away and I am taking care of my mother. They gave up so much to see me go to school, so in return, I study hard.

Perhaps making a schedule would help ? there are so many things you can do to make wise use of your time.

In my experience guilt always went away once I excepted things are what they are. If you are intelligent and don't have to study then just do what you want with your time but if your not so good and don't want to study then maybe school just isn't for you, don't get upset if you don't get a career that pays well though.

guilt is when we have done something wrong. something we know we shouldnt have done or realized it after the fact. the best thing to do is to ask for forgiveness, if you cant do it at that point and time, then write down how you feel, so then it can be off your mind and you can get back into studying. asking for forgiveness is the best and first step into starting fresh.
