We all want universal coverage, but we need better than adequate care for all but good care for none. If our government run Medicare, and that's paid into, and Medicaid are going broke, how can we do it for all without rationing? And the ridiculous premise of taking money from Medicare and Medicaid to fund the public option would make Spocks brain explode. Does that mean the elderly and disabled would give up care for the more important tax-paying workers? Have you heard that Exekiel Emanuel's plan favors those between 15 and 40? He's Rahm's brother and a the chief advisor the the president. You must be careful. Anyone with a trace of humanity would favor children, but not this man. Think of being a young mother in a situation of shortage and you could get medicine while you watch your children die? Could life be crueler? If you don't believe me, research Ezekiels Emanuels Complete Lives theory, or it's called something like that. I think you will be horrified. And Jesus said that prayer would heal us, didn't he? And Christians are famous for their charity with the sick and the poor. We have Medicaid for the sick and the poor, so I wonder why so many think the sick are thrown into the streets as hospitals are bound by law to treat everyone. Look how much money hospitals spend in emergency rooms treating drunks, druggies and gun-shot victims, who ofter turn up the next month for the same thing, all for free. Think about it, you have left out the most salient facts.

...Jesus could heal anyone He wants to, thus making health care unnecessary.
**
...But if He didn't and obviously He doesn't heal everyone all the time, here are some things to ask and think about:
**
1. Is health care available? The answer is yes, and all over the country. Most hospitals will treat anyone, even if they don't have health insurance to cover it - the costs are passed on to you and me.
**
2. Is it in the best interest of this country to cover everyone with health insurance from cradle to grave? The answer is no.
*--It is too expensive, medical care would have to be rationed, and at least one nightmare would be that bureaucrats would start deciding who should get care and who wouldn't.
*--There would also be mass abuse, because when something is deemed to be free, there will be oodles of people taking advantage of it.
*--It would also mean that drug abusers would get the same coverage as non-abusers, meaning we would be supporting and propping up foolish, high-risk lifestyles, which we should not be doing. We should be rewarding healthy living and pushing that.
*--People should be encouraged not to nickle and dime their health care provider(s), and to go to the doctor only when necessary, by providing medical accounts, etc, which would provide a refund at the end of the year.

Jesus would support Capitalism. Capitalism and the free market system brings the highest level of health care to the maximum number of people. Socialist methodology does not. Jesus was not a supporter of Socialism nor would he be. In a Country of 300 million citizens only an estimated 40 million do not have insurance coverage. As has been demonstrated many times to those who are interested in the facts, that number includes the wealthy who pay cash for first class care and a lot of young people who can afford to purchase it but would rather spend their money on other things. The fact that the current Government program that provides free insurance for children low income people is already being used to cover families with incomes up to 75K and "children" up to 25 years old proves that there is certainly no shortage of opportunity for people to get coverage if they want it.

So, I must insist that Jesus Christ would want people to receive the highest level of care as we enjoy in America not the lowest as they do in Canada or the UK.

Jesus would support universal faith.

There is healing in faith. I can not afford health insurance, so I do not go to see any doctors. I have been sick for over a month, and I have a growing lump in my throat. Now I know that I have been healed and delivered by Jesus from many illness and dangerous situations. I know HE will deliver me from these things also, or I am done suffering and HE is about to take me home.

I don't understand why people are so anxious to pay hard-earned money for insurance they don't need and to be controlled by the same government that now regulates FEMA.

Although, I do have to admit that I thoroughly enjoy watching liberals jump every time a Democrat leader says "boo"! There must be few liberals left with functioning brains. They apparently can't think until someone tells them what to think.

Republicans have it tough. We actually have to study issues and be educated before making decisions. Sometimes I wish I were a liberal, then I could relax, and when I'm feeling insecure, I can just turn on CNN and they'll tell me what I believe and why.

Jesus would say to put your faith in God...not in man. I don't know if he would support universal health care or not...he didn't insert himself in politics in His time. I do think he would be very suspicious of anything where you place any faith in anything run by political leaders and subject to their whims...

...Jesus was smart enough to know to stay out of politics and let the governments run what they will... He clearly gave an example by saying "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and render unto God what is Gods)... In following the plan of Jesus (if you made that "good" choice) most likely you wouldn't need the governments programs... He clearly gave instructions for "life"...

If God helps those that help themselves then Jesus would support personal responsibility, not government handouts.

Jesus never got into politics. He said; "Render unto Caesar, that which is Caesar, and render unto God that which is God's."

Jesus taught that His followers should take care of widows and orphans and feed the poor, and take care of the sick. But, He didn't teach that His follwers should reach into the pockets of others to do so.
