It depends for who you are talking about.

bad for great majority of american citizens, good for the elite rich and multinational corporations they own, good for countries who get jobs that used belong to americans.

Only someone who is a borderline fascist and thinks that governmnent's job is to make life as peachy as possible for the blue bloods at the expense of the rest of the people thinks that outsourcing the jobs of the middle and lower class ciitizens is a good thing. It defies logic. Imagine this, your factory where you have worked for 20 years is shutting down, not go out of business but to get the goods made in china. goods that they will then in turn send back here for americans to buy.....thus increasing their profits. A child could tell you what is wrong with that picture, but the people who think its ok are cold heartless people who dont care about the lives that are impacted but only care about the fact that they and those like them make more money. Oh, by the way , they feel that if you take care of the rich and make sure they always get theirs first, whether we are talking outsourcing, illegals, tax cuts, etc...they believe that by the rich geting richer some crumbs will trickle down to help the rest of the people. The facts belie that, but thats their story and they are sticking to it...and laughing all the way to the bank.

I see hoarding and a speedy decline to unintended isolationism. i assume shall we continually build tall ships and sail the international searching for greater gold. what's funds besides? From the start, wasn't it only meant to be a median for substitute? a fashion for one man or woman with something of fee to commerce with yet somebody else keeping something of fee? How does putting an substitute median with genuine fee interior the process the transaction do something different than shrink the full fee of exchanges to the full fee of the useful asset used because of the fact the median? i'm getting which you do in comparison to government's means to print their way out of their errors. it extremely is a wealth killer even though it is likewise a boost facilitator. the quantity of distant places earnings circulate at any given 2nd may be the marvelous quantity needed to facilitate commerce, not greater, no much less. possibly you and Gary Johnson could sell all your gold and silver and help us come across a answer that addresses the issue devoid of starting to be myriad different issues.

It leads to hard currency leaving the country rather than recirculating. Drives down wages, causes universities to lose billions a year in unpaid student loans because the guy who studied computers can't use his degree anymore so he gets bailed out. Our taxes go up to pay for the unemployed now on welfare and getting free healthcare and housing. The debt goes up and the value of the dollar declines.

Yes, while it may have some short term positive effects, it erodes the standard of living within this country over the long haul and has aided in the creation of opposing world powers who have not one iota of gratitude for what we have contributed to the economies of their countries.

YES.

It lowers the standard of living while only marginally lowering prices for mostly non essential items by redistributing wealth to another country.

You get fired from the factory and have to live on unemployment and severance pay for 2 months while you find a new job.

To cope, you need to cancel your World of Warcraft subscription.

Meanwhile, your job has gone to a Chinese family who no longer have to choose whose turn it is to go without food for tonight.

If you ever take an economics class, you'll learn that specialization benefits all involved. When we outsource, it's usually for cheaper labor, and it benefits both the US and the country we outsource to because it gives us less expensive products and it gives the country we use job growth.

Only liberals will try to convince you that it's bad.

(That's because labor unions hate it when we outbid them.)
