a urine test by a doctor is 99%, the home test is very acurate as well take 5 of them and you will know one way or the other. Stress, diet etc can all influence your cycle, stressing over if you are pregnant can really freak your body out.

Just ask. Tell the doctor that your preg test was neg and why you feel a scan is needed. Make sure, of course, that your insurance will pay for this. It's not free.

Any other symptons? You obviously are not having your period yet. Have you had a blood test? This will be able to tell you if you are pregnant or not if your home pregnancy test is reading false negatives. Tell your doctor your suspicions when you go and that your pregnancy test have been negative. They will be able to tell you if you are or not, either by an examination or a blood test.

Going back some 40 years there weren't pregnancy testing kits or scans.
Lab tests were only performed as a last resort if it was considered a medical emergency.
Any ordinary GP worth his salt, reckoned he could diagnose a pregnancy, after a second period, was missed by a breast examination and an internal examination.

Just call and make an appointment with the doctor. Tell them what is going on and you need to be seen as soon as possible. It could be just a hormonal imbalance but you could be pregnant. Some women just don't show on a home test.

when was the last time you had a urine pregnancy test? if it was four months ago,try it again. If it still indicates that you are negative for pregnancy, then try consulting an OB Gynecologist, they will perform some test to verify your conditions. If you want to have an ultrasound scanning, they can easilly process it for you....

they probably won't give a sonogram till after you have had a pregnancy test at the dr. office. If its' negative and you still don't have your period, they will probably will perform a scan to rule out anything serious. good luck

its easy. call your ob/gyn and inform them of your situation. they will either ask you to come in and give a urine sample or send you to a lab for bloodwork specific to your needs. if you do not have an ob/gyn, your primary care physician can do the same. if you do not have any of these, planned parent-
hood can help. they are a wonderful resource.the elapsed time should not be a problem. hope this helps.
