A couple of weeks ago I did a GOOGLE image search of the WINX club and stumbled across a site that had plenty of coloring book drawings. It had other cartoon characters too. Do a search for coloring books...I just did it again and the site below is the one I found before.

Most publishers of coloring books hire professional illustrators to create the images. When you see Disney themed books in the store's for instance, the Disney studios will use their own, in house, artists to create the black and white drawings to put in the books.

Other publishers may hire freelance artists, working under contract to create the characters and objects in the books.

If you find images, on line, you should be aware that many of these are pirated, stolen images that someone has put up. If you intend to use some of these, to create your own coloring books to sell, you take a risk that you can be sued. I used to airbrush tee shirts for craft fairs and art festivals. I have, personally, witnessed "raids" done by swarms of investigators and attornies, siezing people's assets, because they were selling unlicensed, copyrighted images and objects, from Batman action figures, to Disney costumes, to John Wayne and Marylin Monroe posters and so on.

While I hated to let business go, I always refused requests to make tee shirts with Yosemite Sam, or Garfield, or any other copyrighted or trademarked images. I never took the chance, so, I never had to lose inventory.

You should have no problem if you only intend to use the images for your own personal use. It is those that put up the websites that run the risk.
