You are looking at inter-marriage and thinking that the reason for these breakups and divorces has something to do with inter-racial marriage.
That has nothing to do with anything, All these happen to people who marry into their own race. It maybe that you are looking for an excuse not to have a relationship with this girl.
What your parents think of inter-racial marriage should have no part in your thinking.
This is prejudicial, judgment thinking. You and your parents are so wrong to be thinking that way.
You should common sense and think things out for yourself.
What you are commenting on doesn't even make sense, so are you looking for an excuse?
I know many interracial couples, happy ones, with wonderful children and who have been married for many, many years.
So your comments are completely wrong.
If you cannot see you are wrong in your thinking, then stick to your own race. I cannot guarantee you however, that a relationship with someone from your own race will work out either. The only thing that cements a marriage is love, not color one way or another.
With all this racial talk, what race are you, because the way you are describing it, is completely confusing.
You have a curse all right, and it isn't interracial marriages, it is your own thinking.

date who you want
a person's color does not determine if a relationship will last or not.
There are good and bad men and women in all races.
There are some chinese, black, white and arab men that I would NEVER date because of who THEY are
I am more concerned about the poor roll models around you and much less with the color of skin of the people that they chose to date.
p.s. WHy did you choose 2 include the girl who got knocked up as a part of the so called 'marriage curse' .
Overkill to prove your point! According to your own words they werent married! This statement detracts for your 'point'
and speaks more to your bias

Like I said before - until there is a level setting between cultural differences - there will always be conflicts. Don't call it a curse because it will become one if you don't stop calling it that. Maybe you can break the "curse" and prove to them it can work.

There is no inter-marriage curse... partners should work on the relationship to keep it going. I think this is more of differences in values.

definite. you should make properly the incorrect that led to the relations to be cursed. curses happen even as a relations commits a grave act antagonistic to a member of yet another relations, like homicide, rape or thievery.

You should look outside of your family for advice and role models bc your family doesn't sound like they are good at serious committed relationships.
If your parents are pissed just bc of race, they are immature. That's just stupid.

i think the failed relationships stemmed from lack of commitment rather than the difference in races....people who are committed to the relationship and would do everything to make it work have higher chances of making their marriage a success...i've seen people of different races in happy marriages....

honestly i don't think that is a curse. i think their separation has more to do than a simple curse. if you want your relationship to work you have to work and fight for it. some people are just better off seperated.
