Clock Tower was the only game to ever really scare me ..well ..maybe the first cut scene on resident evil did to ..that zombie thing was freaky back then

Definitely The Thing. The locations at the north pole are all dark, windy and creepy. And the tension mounts as you try to figure out which member of your group is going to turn into The Monster. Also there's a lot of forboding when you're inside buildings and the Thing is stalking around outside trying to get in. This game can scare the shiznit out of you.

Eternal Darkness - Sanity's Requiem is a great scary game. Also Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Fatal Frame.

If you want to get the HELL scared out of you, play with a Ouija Board. I did once. Once, because it actually worked. It was sheer terror. I'm not making this up. This actually happened. It was so frightening that I cannot even write down the incident. Keep in mind that I am not easily scared and I am not a superstitious person. I was very doubtful that the Board would work. But it did. And no, I was not drunk or on drugs at the time. It was not a mass hysteria event. (There were six of us there.) I am not recommending that you go near a Ouija Board. I'm just answering your question. I've played many of the PC games you've listed and none of them even comes close to scaring me like the Board did.

I only played resident evil 4 and out break. 4 was a super good game but not real scary. There was the guys called regenerists that creaped the hell out of me though

F.E.A.R is the only game that actually got me out of my head and made me expect something to run out at me at any moment. It doesnt belong with the true gore-filled horror games (although it has its share), it spooks you pretty good. Half-life 2 doesnt belong as a Scary game, just as the greatest game

ummm you got to try Clive Barker's Jericho that thing scared the hell out of me. Uncharted Drake's Fortune had a scary part at the end of the game that scared me.
