I feel really fat.

Every time my Mum looks at me, she looks so disgusted and she looks me up and down. She's made comments that I'm fat and I need to exercise more. She has an eating disorder that she wont get help for and she also over exercises.

I'm 18. 175cm/5'9 and 68kgs/150lb. I wear size 10-12 (Australia size which I think is 6 in US size). I have DD breast (that keep growing).

I have a back problem and so I'm on a strict pilates program and I'm allowed to walk (although I don't feel safe walking on my own because of the crime around here and my dog has a broken foot at the moment and my Mum is far too fit) I can't do swimming either so please don't suggest that. When I do walk though I get pains in my back for the next week and then it's really hard to be motivated to keep walking and exercising.

I limit my diet. I only drink water. Everyday I have a sandwich with seed and grain bread and ham, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and low fat mayo. Then I wont eat anything until..

dinner which is usually meat and veges. Then fruit salad for pudding.

I havn't gained weight lately. In the last year I've lost 30lb this year and I'd like to lose another 20lb.

I just get so frustrated with my Mum and then with my back. I use to be so active when I was younger.

Are there any pills that a doctor could prescribe for me? Or other suggestions?

I'll add a photo if anyone needs to see.

I just see all these rolls and all this fat. I hate it and I want it gone.

I hurt my back in a car crash.

Please help.

Hi hon... your mother is over-dramatizing and, since she has an eating disorder, she is OVER WORRIED about you gaining weight and you worrying over it all of the time (since this is what she obviously does, and has made you do, too).

Just eat sensibly and get proper rest and the exercise you can... you don't have to overdo it...

Starving yourself is NOT a way to lose weight, by the way -- beside the fact that it slows your metabolism down, it's very unhealthy, especially for your brain....

You might consider doing a yahoo search on eating disorders, and in particular, the one your mother has... maybe you will get some insight into how obsessed people can become about weight, and some advice on what to do for yourself.

this is my best answer.. and i really do think you can find a lot of very good, helpful information by doing that search.

take care ok?

You are actually at a perfect "weight" for your height. Either you have a high percentage of body fat or you have some psychological issues leading to your feeling overweight (no offence but if your mum has an eating disorder you may also have one).
As for the body fat thing, weight training is better than cardio but you will need to start eating better. What you are eating is no good for your motabolism. You may feel better eating less but what you really need to do is have 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day. Eat lots of protein (eggs, cheese, lean red meat) to help you build up the muscle. Look at joining a gym so they can set you up with an individualised program that is tailored to your needs. You may also be interested in considering breast reduction as it probably isn't helping your sore back

My God sweetie, you are definitely NOT fat. You're BMI (body mass index) is 22.1 which is in the middle of the normal range. Your breasts are also fine. So you have large breast, it's great! So many girls would love big breasts and you got gifted with them. Also eat! If you want to lose weight then eat breakfast preferable grains. Also eat about 4-5 small meals a day consisting of lots of vegetables and fruit and lean meat and whole grains. Also ask your doctor about alternate exercises. You'll be in amazing shape in no time!

i wish i weighed 175. it sounds to me like your very normal although i would talk to a dr about your back. if it's due to your breast size some insurance companies will pay for a reduction. as for your mother pay no attention to her sometime the fittest people get jelous. my step mom does the same thing. she is constantly worried about her weight as well as everyone elses. your mom probably thinks that she knows what best and because you are different than her your not noral. the problem is she's wrong either that or she wants to look like you and she is still wrong. but i have to say for your high and body type decription you look fabulous!!!

You're not fat.. I mean, not like FAAAAT-fat.
If it's a problem, eat less.

If you don't eat enough, the body kind of eats itself instead, when it does that you lose weight fast, get one veeery sore stomach - but when you do eat, you'll feel 100% - like, better than you ever have before.

The body is it's own best food imo - try that and you'll lose weight fast and probably feel pretty good after you do eat.
Just keep eating to a minimum.

and drink lots.

According to your measurements you don't sound fat to me, just healthy. Your mom can't help it if she has an eating disorder until she gets help for herself.
