I am amazed at how much time passes while I "think" I'm accomplishing something by answering questions. Some people in the real world have called me "wise." I take that as a compliment and try to answer questions I feel could use a little real advice. Many of the answers are either way off base, or just plain idiotic!

The time I spend doing this is about a couple of hours a day.

So how many hours a day do the Level 7 people put in in front of their computer screen? Do you have a real life too?????

I've read the answers since I posted this question and I must say some of you are assuming I'm trying to judge level 7's. A few of you even come off as hostile.

I just simply posed the question as just that: a simple question. I wasn't tryng to boast, judge, or put down any one. The details I added were to give you a background as to why I answer questions. That's all.

If you are one of the ones who are upset, please ask yourself WHY you are so upset. Is it not possible these days just to write something without having a hidden agenda?

If you were offended, I apologize. If you just like to disagree for that sake alone, I would ask you to please just relax! The entire world is not out to get you. If you didn't like my use of the word, "wise," then perhaps you have never been told that.

The meaning of life is to have fun. Think about that.

I suppose I'll get comments on this too.

Oh well.

They need to make sure that the internet doesn't go down and answer questions that they only hear about and not really experience themselves. But if they look away from their PC even for a second to shower or see if there is a sun, then they just might lose the only connection to the outside world. But maybe they don't know that all you have to do is open your door and say hi to someone. :) best of luck to them all and god have mercy on their souls.

I asked that question about 6 months ago. I was amazed. The answers were between 12 & 18 hours a day. I can not imagine spending that much time on the computer let alone on one site. Plus how do they get any thing else done i.e. work, house hold chorse, shopping.
But then of course I am almost to level 6 by just spending an hour or two a week on yahoo answers but over time. And getting your answers picked as best answer also gets you more points.

Happy Holidays!
Kali :-)

I think you need to have the right conditions, techniques, passion and environment to achieve level 7. I am pretty puzzled how some could do it within 6-12 months, while I am still struggling at level 3, doing YA! every other day, 4 hrs on average, each time. So I think these people do it daily, probably spending a minimum of 8 hrs at a time. This could be very likely their one and only hobby and they put all their life and passion into it. I would not really begin to envy them having this life-style. I have different goals and situations, so am happy just to do it moderately without stressing out and compete with them. You must ask yourself if you also desire to make such heavy sacrifices while considering the extent of the benefits, rewards or losses you may get.

By reading your question another question pop-ed up in my head, I wonder why are you spending few hours per day in front of the computer answering questions, and being WISE... Next is my answer.. --->
For that same reason>> other people (including people on 7th level) are just trying to kill time,,, or distressing from every day life, trying to get away for few minutes, hours, or some cases maybe days... lol... And of course trying get some answers as well... But any ways don't be judging... WE All just having fun,,,,,,

Level 7 people sometimes comb through the questions and report bad or inappropriate questions to yahoo. In a way level seven people like to stay at the top and try to keep all of us at the bottom. I was almost up there, but someone didn't agree with one of my answers. Now I have to start all over again.

Though I'm only a Level 6 (still got 4000 more points until I get to 7) - I tend to come on here whenever I have time to kill at work...

And sometimes it gets VERY slow - so I end up putting a LOT of time ;);););)

Well a lot of these people got to such a high level from best answers... a couple hours a day is still a lot, so don't judge others who have more points than you as they have no life. They most likely had their account longer than you.

And yes when I have nothing to do at night and am not able to fall asleep i turn to answers... and when i have nothing to do...

I don't work... and don't like dragging 2 babies out all that much, so i am at home unless my husband is here...

get over yourself.

I think level seven people talk to other level sevens.
And they have a secret level seven, level seven club where they do level seven things, like answer questions.
lmao.
I so wish I was in the level seven club for level sevens.
