sorry, they consider it a "possibilty",
but they even realize they don't know whats beyond about 40 billion light years....... thats as far as we CAN see into space.

Few physicists would agree with you. So far we have not found anything in nature that would be infinite, so why should space be?
Since there are no equations which could be used to decide this, you will not be able to find any.
The observable universe is quite finite and always will be.

Hello there, i am only but a student in year 12 and so i do not have much of an understanding in this, but in my physics class we have come to to understand that space is not inifinite in a way, It is constantly exapanding, we know this by what is called a red shift, which lets us see how stars in and other galaxy's are getting further and further away, in fact its by the second, do not quote me on this but i believe that space is expanding 50km every second. by the time we could get to the edge it would have expanded and so we would need to fly forever, cause there is no end to space it just keeps expanding

Here is the clear evidence that the universe is infinite.
n^2 + n + 11=x
x is a prime number for all integers n 1 through 10.

I am not a scientist, but me think of the space as an emtiness that's not absolutely emty; or an area that occuplied by/with insolidatory. hahah

Yes,
Since our current knowledge is 'finite' in this, space is infinite !!!
