Go out and have some fun. Since nobody was home (mil-bil had gone together, but bil had to go from there with his friends) and we had keys to the house, so we had to pick mil up. Well so far so good, I though we’ll pick her up and drop her home, and then we can go ahead with our plan. But, things didn't turn out that way, he took me with him to fetch her and her friend, and then sat down to chat with mil as if he doesn’t have enough time at home to talk to her. Of course our "little date" went kaput. U must be thinking what’s in a small date? But as I just told you he asked me out after so many months, it seems years! We haven't even gone for our honeymoon since we can't leave mil alone at home! Bil is there, but no, my husband has to take all responsibilities, n all this when bil is elder to him! Again, this year on our anniversary, I planned romantic dinner for two of us, but no, mil connivingly kept a dinner for family/friends well knowing what we both wanted! tell me what to do...

Hahahaha!!!! I have the very same problems. Here's the deal. Tell your hubby you plan on having a romantic dinner with him (regardless of what your mil plans to do to mess it up) then take your mom and siblings along without telling your hubby about it - lets see how he feels about it.

You are screwed unless he is willing to stand up to her for your marraige. If you live with mil you may not pay rent and mil may hold a lot of power. You would have known this when you moved in. Sorry if it stinks now.

There is a reason the Bible says "For this reason a man will LEAVE his parents and become ONE with his wife!"

Tell your husband how this all makes your feel. Good luck!

One of the main ingredients of a good marriage is communication. Let your husband know exactly what you want and need. In a very good way, not angry and emotional. Be calm and convey your wants and needs explicitly. I don't know who mil-bil is, but if they don't respect your wishes, not very good friends or family. Let them know in the same, calm way what you want and need from them in regards to privacy and alone time with your husband.

Who is mil and bil? You both should have went out to dinner instead. You should tell him how you feel about what he did. You should tell him that it was your date and that is not fair to do to you. He should have brought her home and then went with you.

communicate, let him know how you feel, tell him that he is not taking you into consideration in his decisions and that really bothers you.... If you don't tell him how you feel, he is thinking that what ever he does and says is OK with you! and that's not true. If he is not standing up for his marriage, Girl, it's up to you. But before you take any action, talk to him and if you see that he is to afraid to tell this other person that he cannot dicide on his own and that he needs to get your opinion, then you do it. Good luck and hope things between you two work out for the best of your marriage.

Make your feelings known to your husband in a respectful and civilized manner and then when he doesnt apologize then he sleeps on the sofa. He was rude to his favorite person namely you because he married you so you must be and he was out of line. Shame on him and he should not be allowed to get away with that.
