I want to leave Flickr before their fee goes into effect.

I have around 2,300 jpg photos I will be burning onto DVD discs.

How many jpg photos can fit onto one DVD Disc?

And if you can recommend any 3rd party tools to transfer photos from Flickr to my hard drive, so I can to disc I will greatly appreciate it!

10 points to the best answer!

I hope you can help!!

Hi. A single sided DVD can hold about 4.5 or so GB. If your pictures are about 50 MB each you can just divide. It depends on the file size obviously. Also obviously you need a DVD burner and software.

Hello, I had no idea that Flicker was going to start charging. No way am I paying for them too. All you have to do is, go to flicker, and right click on each picture. Choose Save as, make sure if says Jpg. It should and put in folder on hard drive. I have been able to put a few hundred pictures on a dvd. Nero, or Roxio is what I use. You can probably find some type of burner program on the net free. That should do it for you. I checked my folder after I took them off of Flicker. They are in there.

You should be able to fit all of those photos quite nicely onto a single DVD. They'd have to average about 2 megs apiece in order to not fit.

I'm not sure what you mean about Flickr fees. There's a free account option, and it's not going away anytime soon.

They should all fit, but it could be close to being full depending on the picture sizes. If not, you can buy a dual layer dvd, then they'll all definitely fit.

I don't know anything about Flickr but as long as your photos aren't any bigger than 2MBs each, they will all fit on a DVD.
