LA Angels of Anaheim is atrocious. California Angels made quite a lot of sense. Anaheim is NOT internationally known the way LA, San Francisco, Oakland, and San Diego are. There are so many teams from there that it simply makes sense to use the state name for one of them.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim is just WAAYYY to redundant.
Los Angeles = The Angels
Anaheim = Angel Home (Ana coming from the Saint Ana or an angel)
So Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim means:
The Angels Angels of Angel home.
I liked the California Angels. Although I felt that the Anaheim Angels was the most accurate description as most LA baseball fans (that I know of) are Dodger Fans.

When I was growing up they were called the California Angels. I like that name better since that's how it was for so long. I still accidentally call them the California Angels sometimes. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim name is stupid and ridiculously long.

California Angels, forever and always. I did start saying Anaheim just because people would tell me, "You know it's Anaheim now right". And now I still say Anaheim, becaus Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim is just ridiculous.

You did leave out the original Los Angeles Angels (no Anaheim). :)

i'm still used to the Anaheim Angels..i like that name much better than the one they have now.....it's too long of a name.

I liked Anaheim Angels...it just kinda rolls off your tongue...Anaheim Angels...Anaheim Angels...Ana...man its too friggin early.

Go waaaay back and there was "Los Angeles Angels" without the prepositional rider.
I preferred "California" best but "Anaheim" was good too. The current one is a mess.

For me it will always be the Anaheim Angels. It's the city they call home. I still call the ballpark Anaheim Stadium.
