To start off with, I am a housewife and I do have a career that is on hiatus at the moment. There are some fringe benefits of being a housewife: getting to go back to bed after kids are at school, making sure everyone is taken care of and has everything they need, your husband giving you money to buy things for yourself-yes, my husband is a wonderful man, seeing the look on my daughters face when she comes home and doesn't have to be at daycare, getting to love on the animals all day, having some time to yourself, and being loved because you feel that you have made a difference to your family. The rewards are priceless at times and worth the effort. Yes, I do get bored at times, but I usually find something to occupy my time.

A housewife. Not sure why really. I want to work until I have children then I want to be a housewife. And stay with my kids and be there for them when they come home from school. I'd find it very satisfying to take care of my husband and my children and always just be there without any distractions.

I'm happy as a housewife. I get to spend my days watching my babies grow up but sometimes I do miss having a career

I would like to be both. Housewife while they are still babies and career woman when they get into their teens.

i would love to be a housewife and take care of any kids i have. but i've seen too many husbands skip out on their wives and they get stuck having to raise 1-4 kids by themselves and while the ex husband is out traveling the world or getting remarried....i'll take the career.

HOUSEWIFE.....I like to be here for my kids while they are so young. I've had many jobs and i never loved any of them..I hate the pressure of the workforce....I hated having a boss..at home I'm my own boss..

I love you all. Women are the most fascinating creatures God has ever created. I think women should rule the world. (And no, Im not Gay.) I admire the female species. They can be Gentle but yet strong minded. Sorry, for "barging" in on the question. Good question, good answers.
