No because a hockey player is a predator like all real men. Its kill or be killed in hockey. Protein is needed for playing sports. Its good for a human body. Try it some time.

Several that I can think of in the past. Phil Housley, and Igor Larionov come to mind.
The most notable athlete in any sport is probably Hank Aaron however, who hit 700 homeruns as a vegetarion.

There are so many supplements these days you can get what you want in anything (including steroids if you believe some athlete's stories over the past). A biochemist once told me that the only amino acid you really need that isn't in 'botanical matter' that is required for muscle development is tryptophan.

Um there aren't any that I know of personally or have heard about. But you never know there could be.
*Jenni it is possible to be a vegan in the NHL and get proper nutrition and energy from foods. That's what the teams nutritionist and athletic trainers do.*

Probably not. Hockey requires tons of energy and you don't get that from eating tofu.
