THis sweet adorable kitten of ours keeps digging on the side of the litter box, scooping up dried dooky balls, flipping them out of the box and then he plays hockey w/them on the floor, LOL ....... however he keeps seeming to remember to go in there, and knows we don't want him doing this.
How in the world do we GET HIM TO STOP???

YES, we can keep cleaning the litter box of course, but when we're not home, would like him trained somehow so he wouldn't do this alone either.
HAS ANY OF YOUR CATS EVER DONE THIS??

hahaha, it is kinda funny though

and whats the craziest/funniest stuff ur cat does?

Hahaha... that's tooo cute. Honestly I have no idea how to fix that one! That's one problem I've never had to deal with. As for what crazy stuff my boy does - he spazzes out every single morning (without fail) running around the entire house (more like galloping) and throws himself into everyones doors. You can hear him bouncing around - jumping into things knocking things down and just having a great time as if to say "GOOOOD MORNING WORLD! WAKE UP WAKE UP THE GEORGIE IS UP!!!" Whenever he's just about to bolt he makes his signature "RRRR" sound that I love - it's his "hello" his "whattayawant" and his "I'm gonna tear this place apart" noise. He's just over 4 years old now.

Oh yea - the suggestions above sound good ;) I've always had a box with a lid - maybe that's why I haven't had that problem! And no - I wouldn't discipline a cat! They're royalty!

You could get a litter box with a hood. Or possibly one called Clevercat, where it's basically like a tote with a hole in the top. It may take a few tries but your cat will learn how to get in and out. And it would be very difficult for her to fling poo out of there.
I would also suggest buying her several solo play toys, so she have something else to play hockey with besides "organic home-made" toys. >.<
My cat was crazy when she was a kitten as well, though she never flung poo. She would randomly coming flying around the corner, jump onto the doorway, and climb it until she was hanging upside from the top of the door frame. It was frickin hilarious! I wish I would have gotten a picture. But here is one of her just for fun! ;)

Hahaha... that is pretty funny.
I'm not exactly sure what you could do to stop this, but you could try to focus his attention more on cat toys. Little balls with bells inside and whatnot.
There are also cat litter boxes that have sort of lids, and little flap for the cat to come in and out of. That could be an option if he doesn't stop.
I'm not sure whether disciplining him on this a good idea. I haven't owned cats, but I would imagine they'd be a bit spiteful with being disciplined.

Buy the poor thing more toys! Maybe ones that resemble feces. I have never had a cat do this, but I would think a box with a top would help.

By far the quickest, easiest fix would be to buy a litter box that has a lid.

And buy him some more toys!

Have fun!

if you can afford it, get one of those self-cleaning litter boxes.....it will scoop it up and bag it before kitty can make it into a hockey puck...

They to teach him to play with toys not poop.
